Film: The Congress

Last year I watched the poignant and insightful french film Waltz with Bashir by Ari Folman. I had completely forgotten about the director until today when I ran across the newly released trailer for his new film titled The Congress. Animation and trippy films may not be for you, but I personally think this looks crazy good and hoping it will get a release in the US soon (it is first being released in France).  Anyway, here's the trailer, and I'd love to know what you think and if you've seen Waltz with Bashir and what you think of that film -

The Future Elle Fanning

Elle photographed for Marie Claire
Just a quick post here, but as I was browsing across the pages of Studded Hearts, these two photos caught my eye as the model (Chelsea Schuchman), I think, looks startlingly like Elle Fanning -- 10 years from now.

Do you see it ???

those facial reactions

Well I watched the Oscars last night for the first time in my life probably because this is the first year I've really followed all this award season hullaballoo, and the reason for that is probably because of Jennifer Lawrence. If you want to see how much I freaking love her, see the post below.

Anyways, as I've been devouring all the morning after Oscar related news, soundbites, photos and videos, I came across this gem. Yep, it's of Jennifer, and yep, its got her great candid comments, and some fabulous facial reactions... to meeting Jack Nicholson.

And here are some reeaaalllyyy funny captioned frozen moments from the Oscars- Best Frozen Moments of the 2013 Oscars

Into the Realm of Meryl Streep

Jennifer Lawrence

I cannot come up with enough words to describe how much how fucking astronomically huge Jennifer Lawrence has and will become, jetting her straight into the realm occupied by Meryl Streep and the other legends. I have the HUGEST girl crush on her. Just watching youtube clips of her giving her signature hilarious and candid interviews is an instant mood lightener for me, an honor only otherwise held by Harry Potter and a few other select wonders in this life.

And honestly, Jennifer Lawrence has just finished laying the foundations for her hollywood empire. She will have a career and a place in hollywood for the rest of her life. Not to mention numerous Oscars (her first starting on Sunday, fingers crossed!) and awards. Anyways, just wanted to say how much I love the girl.

Here's a beautiful montage of her films with the full scene of her showdown of Robert DeNiro from Silver Linings Playbook and Rue's death scene from The Hunger Games. Enjoy it.

The View From This Shower

I think I would spend every hour of my day sitting under hot water looking out over the vast expanse of water if I had a shower like this.

Let's Talk About Love

As its the month of love... I thought we could do a post about love to hopefully warm your hearts in this chilly winter season that February brings.

First off... I have never seen any of the previous movies, but really want to see Before Midnight. It's gotten rave reviews from after its initial showings at the Sundance Film Festival, and early thoughts for Julie Deply to get an Academy Award as best actress for her performance. What other romantic movies do you guys love? Here are some of mine

The English Patient
Blue Valentine
P.S I Love You
Pride & Prejudice
(And though they're not strictly romance)
Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke

Secondly... here's a blog devoted to the stories and woes of love with many a heart-melting images. Its called le love

Wow! Isn't this crazy!?

Thirdly...Last week a lovely blog called A CUP OF JO had a post on how couples met. I honestly spent a good hour reading all of the comments as they warmed my heart so much. Here's the LINK and maybe add your own? Happy heart warming!

Well I can think of somebody who pertains to this, though I didn't strictly "lose" him. The last sentence is very fitting however.

Have you guys seen Moonrise Kingdom ?
Its an adorable tale of young love. Very whimsical and visually stunning. Great soundtrack too.

And lastly... something I think everyone will enjoy. A beautiful short film to lift everyone's spirits about love. Enjoy!
(Its also Oscar-nominated!)
