Costa Rica's rainforest pad



Notice the solar pannel expanse? Designed by SPG Architechts, the solar pannels provide enough energy for all the lighting, appliances and misc. equipment. Materials were bought locally when possible, and there is no need for air conditioning as the natural cross breezes cool each room.

Sounds like a fabuolus, green hideaway in the Costa Rican rainforest.

As I create this post, a dangerous storm outside is brewing, growing more ferocious behind the curtain of clouds.

I cannot wait for the curtain fall.

Alexander McQueen's masterpieces at the Met

As a salute to the late Alexander McQueen, the Metropolitan Museum in New York is having an exhibition dedicated to McQueen's fashion masterpieces titled Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. One hundred of his works were photograhed on live models by  Sølve Sundsbø and then digitaly altered to look like mannequins. The clothes that will be displayed are taken from his postgraduate collection in 1992 all the way through February 2010, his last runway presentation. This stunning exhibition will begin on May 4.

a salute to the sea

This gorgeous piano masterpiece (das buch der klaenge part II - the book of sounds part II ) by Hans Otte gives these serene photos a lovely, hidden feeling. The piece is long, around 9 minutes, but it's peaceful aura makes it worth listening to through the very end. Enjoy !
